Bombs continue to fall in the Strip as talks in Doha remain uncertain
Today in Doha, another round of negotiations on a ceasefire in Gaza is taking place, once again met with skepticism - despite international diplomatic pressure. Meanwhile, as every day, Israeli bombs continue to fall on a Gaza Strip long reduced to rubble. The very strong images of this video remind us of what happens every day, several times a day: dozens of civilians, many of them children, urgently transported to makeshift facilities in the few healthcare structures still able to function - in this case, on Wednesday, August 14, at Nasser Hospital in Gaza. These are the treatable wounded. During the same hours, bombings have killed at least 17 people, including 5 children, according to the health authorities of the Strip. The most serious attack occurred in the Nuseirat refugee camp, where an entire family was exterminated: five children aged between 2 and 11 years old and their parents. Many arrive in shock. Others, even covered in blood, have to be pushed out of beds and stretchers to make room for the severely injured children. There is not enough space for everyone, several seriously ill patients are laid on the dirty floor. Since October 7, the confirmed deaths in the Gaza Strip are almost 40,000. The injured are over 92,000. There is no reliable data on the missing, those who remained killed under the rubble of the bombed houses. In the meantime, the United States has approved the sending of new weapons to Israel worth 20 billion dollars.
