Primo weekend di controesodo: attese di oltre un'ora per imbarcarsi sui traghetti

Il primo fine settimana di ritorno dalle vacanze ha portato con sé la prima ondata di controesodo sullo Stretto. A Messina, sul viale della Libertà, la strada che porta agli imbarcaderi dei traghetti privati, si sono formate code di auto e altri veicoli in partenza dalla Sicilia. Pieno il serpentone che porta ai traghetti, l'attesa per imbarcarsi è di oltre un'ora. In funzione ci sono otto navi dei traghetti privati e anche altre quattro della Ferrovie. La polizia municipale con diverse pattuglie presiede tutti gli incroci con il viale della Libertà, in particolare quello con il viale Giostra e il viale Boccetta. Comune e Prefettura già dall'anno scorso hanno previsto un piano per rendere più fluido il traffico ed evitare che quello cittadino si mescoli con quello dei vacanzieri di ritorno. Il traffico in autostrada è intenso ma scorrevole, con qualche coda ai caselli. Sulla Messina-Catania ci sono file di circa tre chilometri ai caselli in uscita verso Messina. Fari puntati anche sul controesodo per chi rientra da Croazia e Slovenia. Autostrade Alto-Adriatico prevede forti flussi di traffico in ingresso alla barriera di Lisert, a Trieste: solo in questo fine settimana, la stima è di 27mila veicoli in entrata alla barriera di Trieste oggi e circa 26mila domani. Nello stesso sabato di un anno fa furono sette i chilometri di coda nella fascia oraria dalle 12 alle 17 circa, mentre la domenica fu raggiunta una punta massima di quattro chilometri tra le 13 e le 17.
